Malvinas Argentinas is the Argentina term for the Falkland Islands and these toys were produced in response to the sovereignty dispute between Great Britain and Argentina over the territory and which saw both countries go to war in 1982. The set is in its original clear plastic pack with a ‘Malvinas Argentinas’ label at the top. The multi-coloured pack of plastic figures comprises of four soldiers aiming rifles in a variety of standing and kneeling positions (khaki green), a tank (bottle green), airplane (white), ship (scarlet), truck (yellow), jeep (orange), two trees (mustard) and two bunkers (brown) and an Argentina flag and post. The double-sided printed label depicts a crowd of soldiers raising the Argentine flag on land against a sunny bay with a battleship and seagulls in the background. Inset on the right, there is a flag which has the blue and white bands of Argentina’s flag and at the centre is a silhouetted map of the Falkland Islands. Above the flag is the text ‘Industria Argentina’ and in the left corner is the Oklahoma brand logo.","physicalDescription":"The set is in its original clear plastic pack with a ‘Malvinas Argentinas’ label at the top.
