The gold pendant has three hollow gold  balls covered in a wirework netting and set with turquoises and slotted over a cylinder which is ornamented with rubies encircled with concave gold petals, all above a row of gold quatrefoils with pendant trios of gold balls. Two identical gold round plaques set with central turquoises encircled with wire-work circles with granules in the middle are sewn onto the lower bunched strands of glass beads. It was shown at the exhibition in the Goldschmiedehaus, Hanau, Germany, 18 October 2013 - 18 January 2014. The necklace was bought from Hans Weihreter, the German dealer in Augsburg in February1998 for 1680 Euros. At this time the piece was strung with strands of black beads, which were subsequently substituted for the turquoise beads by Mahendra, a jeweller in Delhi, in November 2012 as he asserted that red and green were the typical colours associated with Ajmer.","historicalContext":"The<i> tinmaniya</i> nomenclature refers to the three ball-shaped units.
