AD. 17-?’ \r\nPietro Dovezielli, 1859\r\n\r\nThis photograph is one of a set commissioned by Henry Cole to inform the architecture of the South Kensington Museum. Cole was quick to see the uses of photography and in 1859 he requested photographs depicting Italian architecture to inspire the architects and designers working on buildings.
