It was a Chichester Festival Theatre production which was first seen in London at the Haymarket Theatre from 10 August to 6 November 1999 (previews from 4 August).  It then returned to the Savoy Theatre in 2001, from 23 January unril 14 April 2001, with previews from 17 January.  The cast at the Haymarket Theatre was Patricia Routledge, Adam Godley, Saskia Wickham, Alan Cox, Rebecca Johnson, Jonathan Cecil and Sheila Reid.
