He has held two professorial positions at Keio University, Japan, firstly in the Faculty of Environmental information (1998- 1999) and later in the Faculty of Science and Technology (2001). He was awarded the American Institute of Architects Benedictus Award in 1997 and in the same year received the prestigious Architectural Institute of Japan Award.\r\n\r\nSanlitun SOHO is a mixed-use commercial and residential project located in one of Beijing's major entertainment districts. Sanlitun SOHO consists of five shopping malls and nine office/apartment buildings of varying heights. A roller-skating rink and outdoor waterscaped courtyard will link the mall zones. The facades of the main structures are divided into smaller mosaic panels. For each panel, acrylic colour bars have been applied which will change in hue according to the light conditions. The ceramic printing techniques employ patterns found in traditional Chinese lattice-work.\r\n","physicalDescription":"Mixed media architectural model.
