Sharman agreed to pose for the photographs during the run of the play, <i>Heartbreak House: A Fantasia in the Russian Manner on English Themes</i> by George Bernard Shaw (1856-1950) which was staged at Wyndhams Theatre in 1961. \r\n\r\nBeaton presented Sharman with the prints, images of which also featured in Beaton's 1962 publication, <i>Quail in Aspic. the Life Story of Count  Charles Korsetz As Tape-Recorded to C.
