She made her London debut as Juliet in 1814 and went on to achieve widespread admiration and praise in parts such as Ellen in the adaptation of Walter Scott's <i>The Lady of the Lake</i>and Bianca in the tragedy Fazio by Henry Hart Milman (1791-1868).
