Her portrait was reproduced on snuff boxes, matchboxes and pocket handkerchiefs along with Jenny Lind soap, scent and candle snuffers.\n\nThe popularity of sheet music was partly due to the increase in ownership of pianos, especially after the introduction of upright pianos ca. 1827. 'Pianomania' spread among the middle-income levels of society during the 1840s which provided a market for more expensive music sheets.","physicalDescription":"Colour lithograph, sheet music cover for Songs from the Note Book of Jenny Lind.\nThe cover features Jenny Lind.","artistMakerPerson":[],"artistMakerOrganisations":[{"name":{"text":"D'Almaine & Co.","id":"A26617"},"association":{"text":"publisher","id":"x32600"},"note":""}],"artistMakerPeople":[],"materials":[{"text":"paper","id":"x30308"},{"text":"ink","id":"AAT15012"}],"techniques":[{"text":"printing","id":"AAT53319"}],"materialsAndTechniques":"Colour lithograph, printed ink on paper.","categories":[{"text":"Entertainment & Leisure","id":"THES48959"},{"text":"Prints","id":"THES48903"}],"styles":[],"collectionCode":{"text":"T&P","id":"THES48602"},"images":["2014GX6393"],"imageResolution":"high","galleryLocations":[{"current":{"text":"008","id":"THES356700"},"free":"","case":"","shelf":"","box":""}],"partTypes":[[{"text":"sheet music","id":"AAT26430"}],[{"text":"prints","id":"AAT41273"}]],"contentWarnings":[{"apprise":"","note":""}],"placesOfOrigin":[{"place":{"text":"London","id":"x28980"},"association":{"text":"published","id":"x30682"},"note":""}],"productionDates":[{"date":{"text":"ca. 19th century","earliest":"1795-01-01","latest":"1903-12-31"},"association":{"text":"published","id":"x30682"},"note":""}],"associatedObjects":[],"creditLine":"Gabrielle Enthoven Collection\r\n\r\n","dimensions":[{"dimension":"Height","value":"34.6","unit":"cm","qualifier":"approx","date":{"text":"","earliest":null,"latest":null},"part":"front cover","note":""},{"dimension":"Width","value":"24.5","unit":"cm","qualifier":"","date":{"text":"","earliest":null,"latest":null},"part":"front cover","note":""}],"dimensionsNote":"","marksAndInscriptions":[],"objectHistory":"","historicalContext":"","briefDescription":"Music sheet for Songs from the Note Book of Jenny Lind, published by D'Almaine & Co., ca. 19th century","bibliographicReferences":[],"production":"","productionType":{"text":"","id":""},"contentDescription":"","contentPlaces":[],"associatedPlaces":[],"contentPerson":[{"text":"Lind","id":"N6262"}],"associatedPerson":[],"contentOrganisations":[],"associatedOrganisations":[],"contentPeople":[],"associatedPeople":[{"text":"","id":""}],"contentEvents":[],"associatedEvents":[],"contentOthers":[],"contentConcepts":[],"contentLiteraryRefs":[],"galleryLabels":[],"partNumbers":["S.3661-2013"],"accessionNumberNum":"3661","accessionNumberPrefix":"S","accessionYear":2013,"otherNumbers":[],"copyNumber":"","aspects":["WHOLE"],"assets":[],"recordModificationDate":"2026-04-17","recordCreationDate":"2013-10-03","availableToBook":true}}
