When the earl switched architects, London altered his plans for the garden accordingly. The first drawing [E.434-1951] shows the house as it was first designed by the architect William Talman. The second drawing [E.433-1951] shows the house as it was designed and built by John Vanbrugh. That London remained in favour throughout suggests that he and the earl had a good creative relationship. They decided the final details of the garden together.","date":{"text":"","earliest":null,"latest":null}}],"partNumbers":["E.434-1951"],"accessionNumberNum":"434","accessionNumberPrefix":"E","accessionYear":1951,"otherNumbers":[],"copyNumber":"","aspects":["WHOLE"],"assets":[],"recordModificationDate":"2025-04-05","recordCreationDate":"2006-08-22","availableToBook":false}}
