She quickly became an established name on the London fashion scene.This shirt dress is one of Jackson's most successful collaborations with textile artist, Brian Bolger, of the Cloth. The Cloth was an art and design collective formed by David Band, Fraser Taylor, Brian Bolger and Helen Manning. The designers met at London’s Royal College of Art and worked together from 1983-7, designing textiles but also record sleeves and fashion collections.\r\n\r\nThis dress, designed in 1985, was one of a number of collaborations between Jackson and Bolger. Extremely popular, the design sold out from the department store Saks Fifth Avenue, in New York. This particular dress has label for the rival New York department store Neiman Marcus.","physicalDescription":"Printed cotton shirt dress. The dress has a collar and opens down the front. There are no fastenings, other than a loop at the waist. It has short sleeves and small shoulder pads. Two deep pockets are stitched on to the front of the dress.
