The shoes have a pointed up-turned toe, covered platform sole and narrow shaped heel. The upper is seamed over the front of the toe. The shoes have a sling back with a short length of covered elastic, and a strap over the instep which fastens with a decorative covered button and metal press stud. They have a two piece leather sock in light tan and cream which is inset with a narrow leather label, printed 'NICHOLAS KIRKWOOD' in silver lettering on cream. The polished leather sole is impressed, 'NICHOLAS KIRKWOOD/ VERO CUOIO/ MADE IN ITALY/ 37½'. The heel has a dark brown plastic heel piece.
