Their wedding was covered widely by print and online media, due to both the famous guests in attendance and the bride's unconventional dress.\r\n\r\nLady Mary Charteris commissioned British designer Pam Hogg, a close friend, to create her wedding dress after attending the designer's Spring/Summer 2012 fashion show in Paris, entitled 'Notre Dames'. The dress, which is based on a body suit shown in the fashion show, is revealing and skin tight. \r\n\r\nThe designer was originally hesitant about designing a wedding dress, but accepted the commission. The design evolved from a series of conversations and fittings between the two women. As Hogg did not have a mannequin small enough for Mary - who is 5 foot 2 inches tall - the dress, the bodice of which is made up of a series of panels, had to be constructed purely as a result of these fittings. Hogg had estimated the dress would take six weeks to make, but in fact it took closer to six months.
