This print forms part of a portfolio of caricatures, <i>Stage Folk: A Book of Caricatures by Frueh</i>, published by Lieber &amp; Lewis in 1922.  It was exhibited at the Theatre Museum in <i>Theatre Caricatures by Al Frueh: West End Meets Broadway</i>, in 1990.\n\nThis print shows the American actress Mary Nash (1885-1976) in the play <i>The Big</i><i>Chance</i> by Willard Mack (1873-1934) and Grant Morris.  Nash first appeared on stage in New York in 1904.  Her only appearance in London was in <i>The Man Who Came Back</i> by Jules Eckert Goodman (1876-1962) at the Oxford Theatre on 8th April 1920, where she was favourably received.","physicalDescription":"Linocut caricature of Mary Nash looking over her shoulder with an aggressive expression.
