This print forms part of a portfolio of caricatures, <i>Stage Folk: A Book of Caricatures by Frueh</i>, published by Lieber &amp; Lewis in 1922.  It was exhibited at the Theatre Museum in <i>Theatre Caricatures by Al Frueh: West End Meets Broadway</i>, in 1990.\n\nThis print is a caricature of the American actor Wilton Lackaye (1862-1932), and probably dates from 1918.  Lackaye's appearances on the London stage include <i>Children of the Ghetto </i>by Israel Zangwill (1864-1926) at the Aldephi Theatre in 1899, and <i>The Idler</i> by Charles Haddon Chambers (1860-1921) at the St. James's theatre, 1891.","physicalDescription":"Linocut caricature of Wilton Lackaye in profile wearing a black suit jacket with white trousers.
