Many of the figures stand gracefully on their toes, wearing very little other than ballet shoes. Nessim compares the female role to that of a ballet dancer who presents the audience with seemingly effortless poise, rather than the long hours of gruelling training and discipline that brought her there.\n\nPen and ink and watercolour\nMuseum nos.
