The exhibition title as well as those of the individual works exhibited – for example ‘Runnel’, ‘Standpipe’, ‘Watershed’ or 'Outpour'  – make reference to the containment and movement of water. The vessel nature and incorporation of pipe-like features in many of the works further develops the theme. The title ‘Outpour’ however might equally be seen as a reference to the poured decoration that enhances its surface.","physicalDescription":"Pot of red earthenware, slab built, with freely poured areas of pale and mid-brown slip and clear glaze, and small splashes of green glaze. The form of a pot is that of cylinder with vertical walls, these tapering towards the top above the line of a distinct shoulder. Close to the shoulder are vestigial lug-like handles, two on each side of the pot. At the front, a spout in the form of an upright narrow pipe running the full height of the pot.
