The original location of this relief is unknown but a similar example can be seen in the sacristy of the church of the Carmine in Pavia.","physicalDescription":"Circular relief in marble. The Virigin is represented in three-quarter length on a flat background. Her elbows are thrust outwards to either side and are covered with her veil. She looks towards the Christ child, whom she holds with both hands. The child holds the end of the Virgin's girdle in his left hand, and his right hand is raised in benediction.
