Along the top is a cornice enriched with a dentil band and supported by two brackets. The drawers are decorated as follows, beginning at the top: - (1) a raised fan-shaped compartment  in the centre between two rectangles; (2) a shaped panel in the centre between two smaller, similar panels each on a raised square; (3) and (4) two raised rectangles, on each of which is a shaped panel. The upper part containing two drawers is removeable and the whole rests on four shaped supports. Each drawer has two ring drop-handles supended from lions' mouths. The mounts throughout are brass.
