Tanabe produced a pen drawing of the dress, shoes and the outline  of the woman's legs which was then photocopied onto the final purple paper. He used an iron to apply gold leaf to the photocopied drawing and then drew in areas of the dress using black pen and shaded the legs using white pencil crayon. \r\n\r\nTanabe, who was born in  Kanagawa, Japan, is inspired by traditional Japanese woodcuts. He has produced fashion illustrations for a wide range of newspapers and magazines including The New York Times Magazine, British Vogue and Vogue Paris, and Harper's Bazaar.","physicalDescription":"An illustration of a woman wearing a mesh dress and high heel shoes, shown from the top of the bodice downwards; the dress, shoes and outline of the woman's legs were drawn using black pen on paper before being photocopied onto the final purple paper and gold leaf was applied.
