Each bracelet is formed of seven openwork links running between a catch which has an oval slightly convex panel of a spray of flowers within a border of flowers. Four of the links are centred by rectangles with a diaper pattern, the rectangles held top and bottom by an arch of three scrolls lined with scrolls and trefoils. Two links are formed of acanthus above and below a cross of acanthus and fleur-de-lys centred by a flower. The middle link is a concentric oval of scrolls centred by the same floral spray which covers the catch. In one bracelet the two sprays have the same orientation. In the other they are reversed.","artistMakerPerson":[{"name":{"text":"Siméon Pierre Devaranne","id":"A9298"},"association":{"text":"designer and maker","id":"x34662"},"note":""}],"artistMakerOrganisations":[],"artistMakerPeople":[],"materials":[{"text":"cast iron","id":"AAT11004"}],"techniques":[{"text":"casting","id":"AAT53104"},{"text":"openwork","id":"x32481"}],"materialsAndTechniques":"Cast iron openwork","categories":[{"text":"Metalwork","id":"THES48920"},{"text":"Ironwork","id":"THES251837"},{"text":"Jewellery","id":"THES48930"},{"text":"Europeana Fashion Project","id":"THES265804"}],"styles":[],"collectionCode":{"text":"MET","id":"THES48599"},"images":["2006BJ2712","2006BJ2713"],"imageResolution":"high","galleryLocations":[{"current":{"text":"010","id":"THES407603"},"free":"","case":"","shelf":"","box":""},{"current":{"text":"010","id":"THES407603"},"free":"","case":"","shelf":"","box":""}],"partTypes":[[{"text":"Bracelet","id":""}],[{"text":"Bracelet","id":""}]],"contentWarnings":[{"apprise":"","note":""},{"apprise":"","note":""},{"apprise":"","note":""}],"placesOfOrigin":[{"place":{"text":"Berlin","id":"x28746"},"association":{"text":"made","id":"x28654"},"note":""}],"productionDates":[{"date":{"text":"ca. 1820-1830","earliest":"1815-01-01","latest":"1830-12-31"},"association":{"text":"made","id":"x28654"},"note":""}],"associatedObjects":[],"creditLine":"Bequeathed by Harriet Bolkow","dimensions":[],"dimensionsNote":"","marksAndInscriptions":[{"content":"'DEV.'","inscriber":{"name":{"text":"","id":""},"association":{"text":"","id":""}},"date":{"text":"","earliest":null,"latest":null},"description":"","interpretation":"","language":"","medium":"","method":"","position":"","script":"","translation":"","transliteration":"","type":"","note":"For Devaranne of Berlin.
