This brought him to the attention of The Royal Ballet’s Ninette de Valois, who introduced him to choreographer, Kenneth MacMillan. Georgiadis designed Danses Concertantes for MacMillan in 1955 and went on to work with him on a series of major ballets, including Romeo and Juliet, 1965; Mayerling, 1978 and, finally, The Prince of the Pagodas, 1989. The second significant partnership of Georgiadis’s career was with Rudolf Nureyev, for whom he designrf some of the classics of the ballet repertoire, including The Sleeping Beauty, 1966, and The Nutcracker, 1968. \n\r\nGeorgiadis also designed for opera and the theatre. All for Love, Dryden’s tragedy of Antony and Cleopatra, was paired with Shakespeare’s play by Prospect Theatre Company, and Georgiardis designed them both, setting the plays at the time of their composition.
