Codrington\r\nFabrics like this piece were used extensively\r\nat the Mughal and Deccani courts for door curtains, floor covers and decorative hangings. The repeating floral design recalls Mughal textile patterns, but the fine resist-drawn motifs inside the leaves suggest an origin on the Coromandel Coast.
