'PLANET' is a sculptural form blown in colourless lead- glass, cut and acid-etched, designed in 2004 and produced in a limited edition of 15. It was exhibited at Collect 2004 by Vessel  Gallery, London.\r\n\r\nLena Bergström explores the traditional technique of cutting, giving it a new contemporary dimension. The outer surface of  the piece has been all over cut in a stretched honey-comb pattern, with a so called 'olive' cutting wheel. The cut surface has been treated with acid to create a matte finish.
