The body of the vase, circular, with a segment removed from the top, the sides curve outwards and are supported on a small trapezoid base supported on a wooden plate.  Chased interwoven grasses grow up the base of the vase and across the sides, enclosing on one side a sun inlaid in gold and on the other, an inlaid moon.
