Each ornament is incomplete, lacking the top part which would be required to close it and secure it on the other side of the ear piercing. In the centre of the ornament is an image of a goddess, perhaps Lakshmi. Around this is a disc with pierced work. On the side with the image of the goddess the openings appear as squares but on the reverse they form a pattern of triangles.
