The decoration is of a stylised, Art Deco-influenced band of silver yusen dandelion (tampopo) in low relief moriage green and orange enamel on a speckled dark matt green and brown ground. The foot is decorated with a scrolling band of leaves and silver yusen purple flowers. The counter-enamel is of a similar colour (although not speckled) to the body: this enamel has also been applied to the base, which has the gold yusen mark of the Ando Company.
