With the advent of digital photography in the early 1990s, Meyer evolved from a documentary photographer creating “straight photographs” into a digital-documentarian who often combines photographic elements from disparate times and places to arrive at a higher truth. Meyer believes that all photographs – digitally manipulated or not – are equally true and untrue. Meyer’s photographs consistently test the boundaries of truth, fiction and reality.\r\n\r\nThe Meyers is a digital created scene depicting Pedro as a child with his father standing next to Pedro as a father with his young son Juanito.
