Upper: one row of weft twining in red/yellow and then an incomplete fringe secured with a single knot.\r\n\r\nDESIGN: field with a dark blue ground almost completely filled with a large red lozenge. The border between the two is formed by reciprocal hooks outlined in white and green. The lozenge contains a pointed blue medallion and two dark brown and white pendants. There is a white lozenge with a dark blue medallion in the centre of the carpet. The blue medallion is filled with stylised flowers; the red lozenge and the blue ground contain large stylised botehs, each containing a carnation.\r\n\r\nThere are 5 borders, from the centre:\n\r\n(1) yellow ground with pairs of red or white botehs.\r\n(2) yellow ground with a closely-packed red meander and white carnation heads.\r\n(3) white ground with stylised meander, segmented.
