At that time blue-and-white and colour-enamelled wares were the vogue, but this beautiful blue glazed dish would have sat happily with other blue-and white porcelains. The curator who wrote records for this piece was particularly impressed by the clever use of the darker and lighter blue tones, which made the pattern appear as if in relief.","physicalDescription":"Dish of porcelain.
