It was a comedy in two acts, in prose, published circa 1809. \r\n\r\nThis design appears to be part of a series of prints published by Martinet, Rue du Coq, of which this example is labelled as number 200. It is inscribed 'Carle del' so may possibly have been created by Carle (Antoine-Charles-Horace) Vernet (1758-1836).
