The actor who appears in the print, Stokleit, was associated with the Théâtre Ambigu Comique from circa 1800-1830 and was often cast in the role of a brigand or a tyrant.\r\n \r\nThis design appears to be part of a series of prints published by Martinet, Rue du Coq, of which this example is labelled as number 180.
