The text was written by René-André Chazet and Charles-Auguste de Bassompiere. It was first performed at the Theatre des Variétiés Montansier on 26th January 1807.\r\n\r\nThis design was created by Adrien Joly (1776-1839) and appears to be part of a series of prints published by Martinet, Rue du Coq, of which this example is labelled as number 75.
