The dungarees are held up by leather braces. The actual bear has a large round head with white googly eyes. His nose has black vertical stitching and the stitching also forms a smile for a mouth, allowing a small pink tongue to show through.","artistMakerPerson":[],"artistMakerOrganisations":[{"name":{"text":"Chiltern Toys","id":"A10398"},"association":{"text":"manufacturer","id":"x33306"},"note":""}],"artistMakerPeople":[],"materials":[{"text":"mohair","id":"AAT192989"},{"text":"cotton textile","id":"AAT14067"}],"techniques":[{"text":"sewing","id":"AAT53658"},{"text":"stuffing","id":"AAT231130"}],"materialsAndTechniques":"Mohair and cotton","categories":[{"text":"Dolls & Toys","id":"THES48967"},{"text":"Children & Childhood","id":"THES48980"}],"styles":[],"collectionCode":{"text":"YVA","id":"THES48593"},"images":["2026PN2025","2012FK2995","2012FK2998","2012FK3027","2012FK3030","2012FK3032"],"imageResolution":"high","galleryLocations":[{"current":{"text":"H","id":"THES296970"},"free":"","case":"","shelf":"","box":""}],"partTypes":[[{"text":"teddy bear","id":""}]],"contentWarnings":[{"apprise":"No","note":""}],"placesOfOrigin":[{"place":{"text":"England","id":"x28826"},"association":{"text":"manufactured","id":"x29350"},"note":""}],"productionDates":[{"date":{"text":"1915","earliest":"1915-01-01","latest":"1915-12-31"},"association":{"text":"manufactured","id":"x29350"},"note":""}],"associatedObjects":[],"creditLine":"","dimensions":[{"dimension":"Height","value":"18","unit":"cm","qualifier":"Maximum","date":{"text":"18/01/2024","earliest":"2024-01-18","latest":"2024-01-18"},"part":"Standing","note":""},{"dimension":"Width","value":"12.5","unit":"cm","qualifier":"Maximum","date":{"text":"18/01/2024","earliest":"2024-01-18","latest":"2024-01-18"},"part":"","note":""},{"dimension":"Depth","value":"70","unit":"cm","qualifier":"Maximum","date":{"text":"18/01/2024","earliest":"2024-01-18","latest":"2024-01-18"},"part":"","note":""}],"dimensionsNote":"Measured by conservation","marksAndInscriptions":[],"objectHistory":"","historicalContext":"","briefDescription":"Teddy bear, mohair and cotton, 'Master Teddy', made by Chiltern Toys, England, ca. 1915.","bibliographicReferences":[],"production":"","productionType":{"text":"Mass produced","id":"THES48863"},"contentDescription":"","contentPlaces":[],"associatedPlaces":[],"contentPerson":[],"associatedPerson":[],"contentOrganisations":[],"associatedOrganisations":[],"contentPeople":[],"associatedPeople":[],"contentEvents":[],"associatedEvents":[],"contentOthers":[],"contentConcepts":[],"contentLiteraryRefs":[],"galleryLabels":[],"partNumbers":["B.140-2010"],"accessionNumberNum":"140","accessionNumberPrefix":"B","accessionYear":2010,"otherNumbers":[],"copyNumber":"","aspects":["WHOLE"],"assets":[],"recordModificationDate":"2026-03-09","recordCreationDate":"2010-06-01","availableToBook":false}}
