A comic vocalist, Herbert Campbell made his first pantomime appearance in <i>King Winter</i> at the Theatre Royal, Liverpool in 1871, and in 1882 made his  first appearance in the Drury Lane pantomime <i>Babes in the Wood</i> with Dan Leno as his comic foil. They appeared together in the annual Christmas pantomime every year until his death in 1904 aged 59.\r\n\r\nA heading at the top of the front sheet indicates that the song was 'encored nightly in Mr. Robert Reece's Burlesque Drama <i>Forty Thieves</i>' and was also sung by Mr. Harry Monkhouse.","physicalDescription":"Outer cover of the sheet music for <i>I'm getting a big boy now</i>. He also wears a pale pink bow tie, shiny black top hat and spats. He is carrying yellow gloves in his left hand and a delicate cane in his right. \r\n\r\nBoth sides of the inner cover are printed with the lyrics for the song.
