The set was designed by the architect Nicola Michetti, the libretto written by Cardinal Ottoboni and the score composed by Giovanni Battista Costanzi. \r\nLabelled 'PVI' this is the part of a set of twelve engravings of the 1729 production of <i>Festa Teatrale</i>. The image shows a garden scene in which a soldier stands hand on heart, apparently declaring his love for the woman positioned on the left of the image. The soldier is dressed in full armour and the women in a loose eighteenth century style dress.
