Fuel-saving aerodynamic design means that there are very few ways to add ornament to the modern car. Wheel trims are useful in reducing drag, dirt and road noise, but their chief purpose is to add a distinctive decorative touch to a plain body, at the same time as showing off the manufacturer's name.
