The most notable representation of the subject is the painting by Sassoferrato in the Dominican church of S. Sabina, Rome, painted in 1643 (il1ustrated in Voss, Barock, p. 214). The drawing is close enough to the picture in composition to suggest a connection, but the handling of the red chalk is not in the least like Sassoferrato as represented in the 60 drawings at Windsor Castle. It must be assumed therefore that the author of the drawing knew Sassoferrato's picture. Both the saints being Dominicans, the drawing was doubtless made for a picture in another Dominican church.\r\n\r\n"}],"production":"","productionType":{"text":"","id":""},"contentDescription":"","contentPlaces":[],"associatedPlaces":[],"contentPerson":[{"text":"Virgin Mary","id":"N480"}],"associatedPerson":[],"contentOrganisations":[],"associatedOrganisations":[],"contentPeople":[],"associatedPeople":[],"contentEvents":[],"associatedEvents":[],"contentOthers":[{"text":"saints","id":"AAT150555"},{"text":"cloud","id":"x35718"},{"text":"angels","id":"x30526"}],"contentConcepts":[{"text":"religion (concept)","id":"x37580"}],"contentLiteraryRefs":[],"galleryLabels":[],"partNumbers":["DYCE.204"],"accessionNumberNum":"204","accessionNumberPrefix":"DYCE","accessionYear":null,"otherNumbers":[],"copyNumber":"","aspects":["WHOLE"],"assets":[],"recordModificationDate":"2025-04-05","recordCreationDate":"2009-09-11","availableToBook":false}}
