It demonstrates her preoccupation with what she called ‘urbscapes’ - the stark urban wastelands of post-war Britain. The geometric star adds to the desolation of the dark landscape. \r\n\r\nClough produced these paintings in her studio, using written notes and sometimes thumbnail sketches.
