The base is strengthened with a board. The hood is edged with braid decorated with a meander pattern in grey on cream. The upright tubular metal handle has a cream ridged rubber grip, much perished. It stands on four identical spoked wheels on a coiled spring suspension. The wheels have black rubber tyres with no mud guards. There is a brake beneath the carriage which can be slid across with the foot. There is a strap inside the carriage at the hood end.
