The painted metal puppet is jointed at the neck, shoulders, elbows, hips and knees. The features and clothing are all cast in metal and painted, head is round, painted yellow with large green ears and a curl of green on top head. Black eyebrows, white and black eyes, red mouth and rosy cheeks. Neck and hands are yellow. Clothes painted on are a red jacket, green trousers, black shoes, tie and buttons, white shirt and brown waistcoat. The knees, ears and lower arms are pierced for the attachement of threads to manipulate the puppet. Also a pierced bump on the back. The threads are detached and wound round the metal control which is almoost a complete rectangle formed with two thin metal rods. This has a raosed cross piece which forms a handle and there are six loops to whichto attach the threads (black cotton).
