This was worn with a leather belt and white linen boots under cross strapped leather sandals/boots.\r\n\r\n<i>Le Sacre du printemps</i> was first performed by the Ballets Russes on 29 May 1913 at the Théâtre du Champs-Elysées, Paris and first performed by the Ballets Russes in London on 11 July 1913 at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane. \r\n\r\nThe scenery and costumes were designed by painter, philosopher and archaeologist Nicholas Roerich (1874-1947).","physicalDescription":"Costume for An Ancestor in scene 2 in Nijinsky's ballet Le Sacre du printemps designed by Nicholas Roerich, Serge Diaghilev's Ballets Russes 1913.
