The number '22' is printed in black above the word 'PANCRO', in black lettering, at the right hand side, and along the edge, the words 'MAX FACTOR & CO. HOLLYWOOD & LONDON MADE IN ENGLAND'. The two long sides of the box are decorated with a thin black stripe between two thin red ones, the stripes extending round both short ends of the box.
