It was superseded by  Combined Services  Entertainment, or CSE, originally called the Central Pool of Artists\r\n\r\nENSA's first big wartime variety concert was broadcast by the BBC to the Empire and local networks from RAF Hendon in north London  on 17 October 1939. She was married to John Redmon and Vivian R. Barron. Her theatre work included Mrs. Shenstone in the original West End production of Somerset Maugham's The Circle at the Haymarket Theatre in 1921, and parts in several films including Lady Eva Bracknell in Charles Augustus Milverton (1922), Lady Constance in Leave It To Me (1933), and Sylvia in Mr. What's-His-Name?
