There are fittings of tinned iron. The front is divided by five terminal figures with grotesque mask below into four panels, each containing arch with interlacing floral scrollwork and the eagle of Lubeck in marquetry. The panel below each arch is similarly treated with interlacing ornament, and above each terminal figure is a small raised rectangular panel with wavy mouldings. On each side of the coffer is a moulded panel enclosing a heavy drop handle of tinned iron. The lid is slightly arched. The moulded base rests on shaped supports. The inside is fitted with a lidded compartment subdivided into three compartments, the middle one of which is closed by sliding lid; there is also a shelf round two sides.
