The Virgin kneels at her prayer desk on the right looking back to the  angel who kneels on his right knee, holding the sceptre. Above the dove descends from the radiant cloud. Behind the Virgin there is a vase of flowers. \r\nThe silver gilt mount is decorated on the back with the Virgin and Child. The Virgin is shown seated and wrapped in a  voluminous mantle; she holds the naked Child in her left hand. In the background, to the right a town, to the left a country landscape.
