Volume II. 17th-18th century</u>, London, 1979, p. 110\n\nThe following is the full text of the entry:\n\r\nA man with two companions landing a large fish caught with rod and line \r\nPen and ink and wash; oval \r\n2 5/8 x 2 (67 X 51) E.335A-1937\r\n\r\nPROVENANCE J. Talman etc as for no. 911 above \r\n\r\nThe drawing is fixed by a paper hinge to the oval frame in the pediment of the altar described in the note on no. 911 above. Underneath is a drawing showing God the Father with His hand on an upturned vase. In the engraving after Ciro Ferri's design mentioned in the note on no. 911 the hand of God is shown resting on an orb, which is obviously correct.
