Each poster in the series illustrated a point from the PCE's document 'Conditions For Winning the War'. The imagery of soldier, rising out of an agricultural landscape with factories in the background illustrates the eighth point, 'That it coordinates agricultural and industrial production and that all builds toward one objective: Winning the war.'\n\nAs the fighting continued, there was disagreement amongst the Republican side (broadly made up of socialists, communists, anarchists and republicans) over how the war could be used as an opportunity to reorganise Spanish society. Some argued that the war needed to be won before change could begin. However many communist groups pushed for reforms, such as collectivisation of the land and a reorganisation of industry.
