Inscription (verso of mount): (X614-)97 280 x 205 mm  PH 352-1947 Literature:  Microfilm: 3.18.60 Another farce presented at the Female School of Art fete in June 1864 was Mumbo-Jumbo, written by Henry Cole and his brother Charles. [Henry Cole, diary entry, 8 May 1864 (manuscript). Special Collections, National Art Library, V&A Museum.] The farce featured three princesses and as shown in a programme illustration of 'The Princess Squawmimamima', their costumes were similar to that worn by Clementina in this photograph. [See Female School of Art, Programme of the grand fete and bazaar (...), London 1864, which includes-a copy of Mumbo-jumbo by 'William Shakspere'.
