Whilst his sources may have been traditional, the material in which he fabricates these designs is not: the commode was to be made in bronze, with poplar wood. Most of his work, in fact, is in metal, including the steel chair on the nearby plinth. Although born in France, Dubreuil moved to England in 1969 to work as an interior designer.
