From 1927, he transitioned from female to male and moved in artistic circles alongside other Constructivists and Cubists, notably Picasso, Árpád Szenes, and Maria Helena Vieira da Silva.  Picasso called him the \"petit pivert\" (little woodpecker) and would introduce him to people as 'the small man who makes large statues'.   \r\nBetween 1947 and 1949, Prinner illustrated sixty-six tablets of the Egyptian<i> Book of the Dead.</i> In 2019, the National Art Library acquired a copy of 'La Femme Tondue' (1946) containing 8 prints.\n","physicalDescription":"Print entitled 'Metamorphose' in the style of a photogram where objects are placed directly onto the surface of a light-sensitive paper then exposed to light, leaving a negative shadow image.  The print features the forms of a coiled piece of paper, a reptilian skeleton, and a length of string.
